Have you ever tried to open a plastic bag with dry fingers? They slip and the bag doesn’t open, but once you moisturize your fingers, you suddenly have grip to open the bag. This is the same for our senior pups. The pads of their paws become extra dry and tend to slip or slide on smooth flooring like tile or hardwood. Our solar infused Calendula* in Sunflower*, Olive* and Castor* Oil salve helps to nourish dog’s pad and support skin healing. Beeswax is added to help create a barrier and aide in skin protection. It’s recommended to gently massage on to dog’s pads at bedtime for absorption and healing support. Nourishing the pads of your fur baby may help restore traction when walking on extra smooth surfaces.
Make sure excess fur around paws and in between pads is trimmed to allow better salve to skin contact.
Our salves are unscented other than the natural fragrance from the herbal infused oils. Your skin is the largest organ of your body, nurture it naturally!
*Apply to clean moistened skin for best results. Do not apply to deep wounds.
Salves may vary in color due to small batch production.
Store is a cool, dry place to avoid oils melting or reducing shelf life. Keep away from heat.
